O-R-A-N-G-E screams 1970s . . . laminate kitchen benchtops, plastic kitchen-ware and nylon mesh sheer curtains.
You could accuse the colour orange of being garish and dominating but never drab or cold or miserable!
I would imagine most 1970s aficionados would LOVE orange!

Top shelf — wooden eggcup with paper mâché egg, Staffordshire Potteries Ironstone mug, Danish Rosti Mepal plastic spoons, buttons, enamel pourer, salt grinder.
Middle shelf — enamel pourer, Ridgway Christina Ironstone cup.
Bottom shelf — Coty Airspun loose face powder box ($2.95 price label on bottom), Twinings Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea tin, paper mâché cat.
Speaking of Papier Mâché , I can no longer say the phrase without thinking of one of my favourite scenes from Seinfeld involving George and his chopstick in her hair girlfriend.
It is from episode 19 The Truth.
Got a fave Seinfeld scene or two or three . . . ?
Anyone for chips, pretzels or nuts? Trio of dishes made in Japan.
Also behind them is a Willow Flour Sifter made in Australia.
Villeroy and Boch Acupulco ceramic tile trivet.
A row of orange-furred penguins.
And finally harryipants favourite photo . . .
a big thank you to re-retro for the colour ORANGE!
I love ORANGE!!! It is so joyful. My fave is the Villeroy and Boch ceramic tile with the beautiful birds. They look like doves, birds of peace! Beautiful and serene.
And that was a joyful comment to read! Did you know the ACUPULCO range has been rereleased?

Orange is sunset during bushfire season, or rare cats in rainforests.
So rare that I couldn’t find one on google images! Got a link?

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Love your orange arrangements (but secretly blue’s myy favourite colour which I don’t think appeared that much in the 70s!) Jane
I love orange too!! Even my two boys are red (orange!) 🙂 Whilst my Bungalow is predominantly white I have orange accents everywhere. If you check out 2 of my most recent posts you’ll notice orange!
Thanks for visiting! I must confess to love all primary and secondary colours. Clean, crisp and cheerful. Blue, green and orange done . . . yellow will be the next colour! Off to check out your blog now . . .
Funny…that was meant to say my boys are red (orange) heads!
Aha childrren! Initially I thought you meant dogs or cats. I have Red Birmans.
Orange, I love it! I’ve really been drawn to it lately for some reason, perhaps it’s my child of the 70’s upbringing. Gorgeous post!
I just painted one of my bedroom walls orange (the others are now turquoise). It just makes me so happy when I wake up every morning!
Sounds tropical! I hope you live in a cool climate as that orange wall would glow here today – it’s 35*C or 94*F today.
