#20 seagull pewter

Do you remember Seagull Pewter?

During my twenties I spent many a lazy Saturday afternoon perusing the giftware section of Grace Bros (now Myers) and David Jones, developing crushes on Villeroy & Boch dinnerware patterns, Kosta Boda glass sculptures, Italian handpainted crockery, pretty china Trios and the star of today’s post . . . Seagull Pewter!

It was originally made in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, however, according to their Facebook page “Seagull Pewter Store is owned by parent company Royal Selangor since 2002” and according to a Nova Scotia tourism page is now manufactured in both Pugwash and Malaysia.

I’ve received most of my keeps as birthday, Wedding and Christmas gifts, however, one day I splurged out and treated myself to the somewhat dated asymmetrical Clock.

Seventeen years on, his face is a friend!

Got a friend like mine?

Some studio shots . .

Those are beautiful, but I have a friend even better than that clock.
    She looks good too.

Pugwash! What a wonderful world we live in, that a real place can have a name like Pugwash. Pugwash. Pugwash Pugwash Pugwash!

My favourite photo here is the one of the frames. You really are an artist, no bull…

I have a lovely clock from 1990, Seagull Pewter, the roses and full foliage around make it a quite beautiful to behold.

      Sound a beauty!
What a surprise to find a comment on an old blog post!
Would you believe I packed my favourite clock away? It’s coming out of hiding today!
