#19 green

Apparently, Emerald Green is Pantone Color of the Year 2013!
Pantone describe it as . . .

“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that
enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

Top shelf – sea glass, glass cat, die, ceramic ginger jar with pencils, mid 1960s Australian Decimal conversion glass with buttons, shot glasses.
Middle shelf – Twinings tea tin.
Bottom shelf – Royal Sphinx Maastricht cup, Desimone expresso cup, 1930s jar opener, Pates Potteries Sydney Australia vase.
Also see Gouda vase from Holland, ceramic umbrella, Nestlé chocolate box and Finel enamel cup from Finland below.

Donald noticed Jim’s new car and was green with envy.
That bloody greenie has chained herself to a tree again!

Perhaps you have one or two to add?

Thanks! Yes that Pates piece is sweet. I’m having fun with my single colour posts. Did blue, then asked a fellow blogger to pick the next colour and Darls picked green. Would you like to pick the next colour for me?

    Great glass.
Not only do they not make those glasses any more, they don’t even make the one and two cent coins depicted on them.
But this is my favourite Green…

I thought we were speaking of Green.
How’s this for a great Green?

Green is ‘the’ colour. Green like avacado or the colour of an old fibro house. Green like tree ferns or the tree snakes we sometimes find in them. Green like the canopy of a rainforest – where you can see every shade imaginable and where no two greens are ever exactly the same.

My grandmother was obsessed with the colour green until her 98th and last year. When showing her your new car or shoes or kitchen . . . “Why didn’t you get a green one?!?”
